“I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me:” Psalms 40:17

We have all gone through difficult times. And you may have had the experience, during those trying times, to have a well-meaning friend say to you, “I am thinking of you.” And as kind as that is, the fact that they are thinking about you really does nothing to change your circumstances. But here is a truth that changes everything: for those of us who know the Lord, God is always thinking of us. There is never a time when God is not aware of what is going on in my life, of what I am going through. And the difference between God thinking of us and our well-meaning friends thinking of us is that God has control over all things. So, when God thinks of us, He has the power to change my circumstances, to structure the events in my life to conform to His will. His “thinking upon us” will make a difference. And we are assured that, no matter what comes into our lives, we will never be without His care and His guidance.
