“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

It is amazing how differently we see things from how God sees things. For example, from our human point of view, we see weakness as a flaw, and struggles as things to be avoided. We work hard to keep ourselves out of situations where we might be overcome. We work hard not to appear weak to others, or admit weakness to ourselves. And yet, when it comes to weakness and struggles, God’s point of view is the exact opposite from ours. God allows weakness and struggles in our lives, not so that they will overcome us, but rather to provide an opportunity for God to demonstrate His strength to us. God uses those times of weakness to show us just how strong and powerful He is. And as He gives us strength to withstand those trials, He builds our faith to face the next one that comes. So, in the midst of your struggle, rather than lapsing into despair, instead, seek God’s grace and His strength. By doing so, you will find joy, and your faith will grow, even in the most difficult times.
