“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

The crucifixion of Jesus Christ was part of a plan that God had devised before Adam and Eve committed the first sin in the Garden. And the plan was devised because God knew, with the introduction of sin into the world, man would begin to wander from the original plan God had for His creation. Sin would cause man to want to go his own way and would cause him to reject the way that God had intended for him to walk. The only way for man to get back on track was for man’s sin problem to be remedied. And the remedy was for God’s perfect Son to become the payment for our sin. Christ’s death and shed blood on the cross was the only sacrifice that God would accept. And so, God laid our sin upon His Son, Jesus Christ died the perfect death, and a way back to fellowship with God was made possible. And now, any person, no matter how sinful, can look to the cross, accept Jesus’s death as payment for sin, ask God to save him, and God will forgive, and God will save. If you have made that choice, rejoice that payment for sin has been made. And if you don’t know Him, believe that He died for you, ask Him to save you, and salvation and eternal life will be yours!
