“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

Education is greatly valued in our society. Success or failure is often gauged by how many years of training a person has and how many degrees he or she has earned. It is for that reason that we have colleges and universities in existence across our country and why we see an increasing number of ads for online schools and trade schools. However, in all of the education that this world offers, no matter how high the quality might be, most of that education is lacking in one very important area. It lacks in providing a clear understanding of who God is. According to God’s word, true knowledge starts with an understanding of Him. A person can know all of the facts about any area of learning, but if there is not a clear understanding of who God is and of what He has done and will do, according to God’s word, the possession of all of those facts has no value. So, if we want to have a complete education, set aside all of those facts, and learn of Him. And then, allow that knowledge to operate in your life in such a way that it changes the way you think and the way you behave.
