Trained and equipped
“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Have you ever been given a job, but not given the tools you need to complete what you are required to do? Or have you ever been given a job and not been given the details and the training necessary to complete it? One of the most important aspects of a new job is the training and equipping that comes before you start, so that you can do what the job asks of you. And an employer that doesn’t provide those things reduces the ability of the employee to complete the job and have satisfaction in the job he has done. God, as the ultimate employer, understands the need for training and equipping; that is why He can give us this promise. God will never call upon you to do a job that He has not first given you what you need to do it. God always supplies all that we need to accomplish whatever He calls upon us to do. And because of that, we can rest assured that we will always complete what He calls upon us to do, and that there will be joy in the work, if we rely on the training He has provided. And every believer has the assurance that God is able to work through any of His children, because He has personally equipped us to do what He has called us to do.
