“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:22

In these few short words, we have the entire meaning of Easter. Man was born into sin. Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. And because we are all a part of Adam’s fallen race, his sin nature was passed onto us. And because of the destruction that comes as a part of that sin, and because God is holy and must judge sin, all who are in Adam are condemned to death, physical death and spiritual death. But God made a way to overcome man’s fallen nature; God provided an answer that would bring victory over death. And that victory was found in the Lord’s resurrection from the dead. When Jesus Christ came back from the dead, because death could not hold Him in the grave, death was defeated once and for all. And now, all those who, by faith, accept the remedy that God provided through the death and resurrection of His Son are placed into Christ. His work becomes our work, and His victory is now our victory. Life comes to those who are “in Christ.” The empty tomb is the proof that all those who trust the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation are made alive and are made alive eternally. Praise God for the victory found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
