“The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you;”
2 Chronicles 15:2

When we go through difficult times, when we go through times of heartache or sorrow, we might ask the question, “Where is God?” When there is some great national or worldwide tragedy, people will often ask the question, “Where was God in all of this?” It sometimes seems that we are going through difficulties all alone, that God is nowhere to be found. And in the middle of those circumstances, we may begin to think that God has no interest in us, that He really doesn’t care what happens to us. But God’s word says otherwise. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, if we know Him, He is right there in the middle of that situation with us. He is doing His work through us and through the circumstances we find ourselves in. God has no desire to hide Himself from us. It is just that, at times, we are looking for Him in the wrong places. If you are struggling today, if life’s circumstances are overwhelming you, all He asks is that you call out to Him in the mist of that struggle. And if we will do that, we will find we are not forsaken. God is near, God hears, and God cares.
