“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”
Romans 5:1

Since the beginning of time, men have been at war with one another. From the beginning of recorded history, we have accounts of peoples and nations fighting with one another for almost any cause. And just as consistently, men have been seeking since the beginning of recorded history to achieve peace, peace among nations, peace among groups, peace among individuals. And although that peace has remained elusive and has never been fully attained, there is a peace that is offered and that is attainable by everyone who will do what is necessary to achieve it. Since Adam’s fall, sin has placed man and God at odds with one another. And yet, God has made a way for man to have peace with God; God has made it possible for man to be placed in right relationship with the heavenly Father. And this peace comes, not through summits and treaties and negotiations. It comes by faith, faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The second a person places faith in Him, and accepts His payment for sin, the immediate result is peace. Men may achieve temporary peace on this earth, but eternal peace is offered to all who will place their faith in Jesus Christ.
